Shawn Duncan of DC4

Shawn Duncan

I met Shawn on Facebook.  I got to noticing ALOT of bands including DC4 in their show-bills. DC4 have a gang of "Been there,Done That). Good enough. I've also noticed every post by him to be family-oriented. Let's take a quick check here...Handling a family successfully, creating a food asked for by the likes of Shaq' ( yes, THAT one),

and STILL managing to share stages with those that keep a crowd. That means other bands want them there, and that's the best reason. The band consists of members from Odin, Armored Saint, and Dio. That's some years of callouses, song-writing,shitty gigs, managers, and promoters.... And It hasn't soured his / Their focus.

Shortly after this interview, a DC4 Shirt was worn on "THAT METAL SHOW" on VH-1. GOOD stuff!

I shot him just a few, short questions, and got 'em back quick. He actually thanked me, which was WAY cool. Hell, I should NEVER be thanked. I didn't put those hours in.

                                  .... Here they are :

What were your favorite scenes in "The Decline of Western Civilization Part 2?

I liked the movie. It was a pretty fair representation of what was going on. Chris's (Holmes) scene was funny because he was actually with us partying at Penelope's house. We shot the hot tub scene at her house, and then they went to Chris's Mom's house, and did the pool scene. So, we are somewhat resonsible for his condition! Nadir is a good friend and London's scenes were fun. ...I dunno...I enjoyed the whole movie.

As far as drum equipment, which are in despensible?

I have a 14 by 6 / 12 in. Ludwig Black Beauty Snare Drum and an 8ply Ludwig  Maple Snare, both sound incredible, will NEVER get rid of them! I also happen to think Aquarian Drumheads are the best on the planet!

#)What bands/drummers made your decision to pursue ?

My Father was a songwriter. I was raised around music. By the time me and my brothers were old enough, we had instruments in our hands. I do not recall any moment saying I am gonna do this. I just kinda did it. I didn't pick music, it picked me....but as far as drummers, Cozy Powell, Roger Taylor, Steve Smith, Bonzo, Joey Kramer, and then guys like Uriel Jones, Benny Benjamin, and Danny  Saraphine. We grew up on Motown and Chicago Records.

What are your favorite TV Shows/Movies?

When it comes to TV, I tend to lean towards documentaries, Ancient Aliens are fun, Cooking Shows, then stuff like "Game of Thrones", "Walking Dead", etc.

Movies...I usually watch them at home, but I LOVE Lord of the Rings and stuff like that...I think I was a Knight or Pirate in my past life!!! Hahahahaha

What are you favorite foods?

I am a chef, so basically most things made right!!!

How did FATBURGERS start?

Well, Fatburgers started as a chain in L.A. It's all over the world now. This link will explain.
